On December 10th Roane County Park hosted a winter 5k race, “Dashing thru the Park.” It is our goal to promote fitness and community involvement in our park.
There was a 5k for runners and a 1-mile walk for everyone else. All pre-registered participants received an event t-shirt.

“Dashing thru the Park 5k” began and ended in Beautiful Roane County Park. The race course is an USATF-certified 5k course.
The awards ceremony was held in Shed number 6, 30 minutes after the last runners finished. Awards will be given to the top over all male and female, plus the top male and female, in the following age groups, 10 and under, 11 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59 and 60 plus, (top male & female not eligible for division awards.)
